Imagine handwriting practice without reams of practice paper!
Peterson is proud to introduce the first progam that takes handwriting practice to your computer. PDF By Hand allows you to open the Peterson e-workbook so the student can practice by writing on a Wacom tablet and your computer.
The special challenge presented by this tool is far more than engaging. To learn about the features and surprising benefits please Click Here.
PDF By Hand software is available alone or with e-workbooks for improving print and cursive handwriting at any age. Choose the print bundle, the cursive bundle or the full bundle that includes both. Now you can use a computer station with a Wacom tablet to provide regular opportunity for handwriting skill improvement.
In response to a growing number of requests from school administrators, teachers and parents, we have created a new e-workbook designed to support the use of the American Standard Cursive Alphabet at the entry level. The e-workbook is a PDF document for use with Acrobat Reader or the new PDF By Hand software. You purchase a license, download the PDF file and print your own pages as needed for lessons. "Cursive_Step_One" is designed to guide the teaching of patterns for production of cursive forms and is easily correlated with any reading/language readinees program.

The goal is convenience. You download the book to your computer. No shipping charges. E-workbooks allow you to print the page you want to use from your computer for use by the students. If you can project your screen you can use the page to lead the lesson. With the exception of Word Masters cursive word practice sets, the E-Workbook offers the advantage of our Color/Rhythm process which provides a huge perceptual advantage over black-line reproducible pages designed for a copier.
Open the file with Acrobat Reader or PDF By Hand and print. Open the page in PDF By Hand for practice using a Wacom pen tablet.
Shortly after we process your order you will receive an email with a link to download your selection. This message may not reach you until the following day if you submit your order after our regular business hours. Orders submitted over the weekend will not be processed until Monday.
These new tools are ergonomically designed and balanced to help those who have hand health issues. The Heavy Weight weighs 4.2 OZ. That does not seem like much until you pick it up. The weight of the tool helps reduce the impact of tremors or helps to build hand strength.
The Heavy Weight Pen uses a standard Schmidt Parker refill widely available in office supply stores. The pen comes with black ink and is retractable as the image suggests. The unit sells for $25.00.
The Heavy Weight Pencil comes with nine 2.0 mm lead refills. Like the pen, it weighs 4.2 oz.
The unit sells for $25.00.

One of the most frequent questions from teachers and parents is, "How can I help my left-handed student learn to write more efficiently?" There are two approaches that allow a left-hander to write fluently. Position adjustments invented by young left-handed children as they are introduced to the directionality of our written language often make fluency virtually impossible. This manual provides 24 pages of pictures and explanations to help you to understand the issues and show you how to coach the student for improved fluency and legibility.
If you have noticed the frustration and laborious process of a left-handed writer, you need this book. You can make a big difference for that child by teaching some simple adjustments to the physical approach being used.
The Crossover Grip provides a thick body like The Pencil Grip with "wings" that keep the pointer and thumb tucked securely in the right place. It is pliable enough to use on any of our pencils - from the Finger Fitter thick triangular to regular non triangular varieties. You will have to help a little one adjust the grip when used on a thick pencil - a big advantage. If they are forever playing with the gripper or sliding it out of the way when you're not looking, this will solve the problem. It addresses the issue of extra fingers on top of the pencil which has such a negative effect on wrist position and paper holding. The wings help to improve the feeling of control which makes the tripod grip we seek feel so much better to those little fingers.
We feel it is so effective that we have included it in the popular Try All Seven pack immediately. If the Finger Fitter Triangular pencil is not enough to allow a relaxed correct grip, this new tool seems to offer additional help.
