We are actively seeking people who want to be trained
in the Peterson Strategy for handwriting instruction. As tutors are certified
we will add contact information and coverage area to this page. Please
contact the therapist in your area directly for fees and scheduling. In
some cases public school systems are used to describe service areas. This
illustration does not mean that services are limited to those school districts.
If your child is having trouble with written language these folks can make
a difference. Improvement in handwriting fluency will have a positive effect
all across the curriculum.

We are planning to offer a remedial summer course for fourth, fifth and sixth grade students. Six one hour sessions - 2 per week for 3 weeks will focus upon increasing cursive handwriting fluency and legibility. A limited number of students will be accepted for this course beginning in July. If your child claims to be unable to use cursive, a far better tool for composition, this course shoule make a difference.If there is sufficient interest, we will offer the course again in the fall. Six one-hour sessions will be held after school hours or one evening each week. Parents are expected to be present during the classes.
Handwriting Research
There is also potential for participation in a handwriting research project being conducted jointly by Neuroscript Software and Peterson Directed Handwriting. Interested schools are encouraged to contact us as soon as possible to participate. It is likely that the first round of testing will occur during January and February of 2008. We are developing software for classrooms that will coach handwriting fluency using a digital tablet and the classroom computer.
